The register and back office in one app for your store computer. The receipt printer and cash drawer are found and set up automatically the first time it opens.
Setting up
- 1Turn the receipt printer on and connect it to this computer (USB) or to your store network. Plug the cash drawer cable into the printer.
- 2Run the installer you downloaded. The app opens when it finishes, and starts with the computer from then on.
- 3The app looks for your printer and picks the receipt printer for you. Tap "Print test receipt".
- 4Answer two quick questions — did it print, and did the drawer open — and you're done. Then sign in with your usual email and password.
Changed printers later? Use Set up printer on the register's printer warning, or the menu illuminatePOS → Hardware Setup… (press Alt on Windows to show the menu).
If your computer shows a warning
- Windows “Windows protected your PC”: click More info, then Run anyway.
- Mac “can't be opened”: open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
